Pictures from the first half of summer.

Memorial Day - Ringing Rocks - It's a boulder field at the top of a mountain. When you hit some of the rocks with a hammer, they make a ringing sound. Really interesting. Pretty hike to a waterfall. |
Iron Pigs Game - The first game we've been to as a whole family. Air Products had balls for the kids and they got Ferrous to sign them. |
Police Station Tour |
Beginning of summer beach trip. It was cold and windy. The kids had a blast. The moms not so much. Preston was a trooper. |
Lehigh Valley International Airport Tour - we even got to go through security. I think it's a benefit of having a small airport. I have to say it didn't leave me with a good sense of security for that airport since they just let us through without checking IDs. |

Fun at the pool. These picture were taken at the beginning of the summer. The boys have since become very accustomed to the water. Elliott is doing well using a kickboard and Derek loves just goofing off and trying to swim when I can get in the water with him. |

Statue of Liberty Ferry |
Statue of Liberty - Camille, Tracie, and I took our kids to the Statue of Liberty. We took the ferry from New Jersey to avoid driving into Manhattan. The kids had a blast on the ferry. It was super neat to see the statue that is so symbolic for our country. Elliott was really into the audio tour, at least for the first 1/2. The statue itself was closed for renovations. Brent and I plan to go back once it reopens. We couldn't have asked for nicer weather. It was an awesome day trip. |

Tricia invited a few families over to celebrate the Fourth of July. We ate lots of yummy food and enjoyed lots of good company. After dinner, the Smiths took us to a perfect spot for fireworks. We had a great view of the Dorney Park fireworks from an elementary school. That's definitely where we'll watch them from now on. No crowds, no traffic, awesome view. |
The kids put on a little parade - so cute. |
Crayola Factory - Fun place for the kids to play for a day. They got to play with Model Magic, paint turtles with melted crayons, color with glow in the dark markers, color on walls, make a puzzle, paint, draw on a car, and watch a worker make crayons and markers. They had lots of fun stuff to bring home at the end of the day. |

Fish Hatchery - feeding the fish |
You've had quite the summer - and that's only the first half. Great pics, fun memories.
