Ethan's Birthday

While we were in Vegas, we celebrated Ethan's 2nd birthday. We went to a yummy pizza buffet and ate way too much. Happy Birthday, Ethan!

Trip to Grandma and Popeye's House

Elliott had Spring Break last week, so I took the boys to Vegas to see Grandma and Popeye. It was so much fun to see them and all the aunts, uncles, and cousins there too. I'm glad that everyone was able to come visit while we were there. We missed you, Marisa and family. Derek didn't have a very good time in the car. He cried for at least half of the trip. When we got there, Popeye got him out of the car. He didn't think that was what he wanted. But it wasn't long before he was happy to be with Popeye. They had lots of fun together. Elliott had a great time playing with Grandma and Popeye and he loved playing with his cousins again. I enjoyed the nice break from normal, every day life. We miss you all already.

Look what the Easter Bunny brought!

We loved spending Easter with Grandma and Popeye.

What a helper...

See some similarities in these pictures?

Since Derek started pulling up on things, he loves to get things out of his toy bucket - I don't think it's ever been quite as crazy as this time. He pulled out everything he could reach.

Derek was "helping" me with the mail. I had it all on the couch. One by one, it ended up on the floor. He had fun.

YUM!

We were at the park a couple weeks ago eating lunch and enjoying a nice Spring day. I was eating my turkey sandwich when Derek grabbed it from me and took a bite. After the first bite, he wanted more, so I gave it to him to hold. He ate about 1/4 of my sandwich. I was shocked! Elliott has still never eaten a turkey sandwich. Since then, he's had more turkey sandwiches, chicken nuggets, and hamburgers, to name a few. He eats pretty much anything I give him. There are a few exceptions and it depends on his mood, but what a nice change. I'm so happy to have a good eater!

General Conference

I really enjoyed watching General Conference (at least the parts I could pay attention to). There were so many talks that really pertain to me right now. It is always good to be reminded of the things I should be doing. Now it's time to DO IT!

Derek enjoyed Conference too - especially the singing. When the songs would start, he would climb up to the tv and watch.

Elliott hard at work on his Conference packets. Thanks to the people who put those together every time. They are awesome

Kangaroo Zoo

I guess it's time to get back to blogging. So much has happened the past 3 weeks (I can't believe it's only been 3 weeks). Here goes...

We FINALLY got together with my old roommate, Jen, and her boys. We were supposed to go to the zoo, but it was pretty cold, so we decided an indoor activity would be better. We went to a different kind of zoo, Kangaroo Zoo. The boys had a great time running around and bouncing off the walls. They got along great. Jen and I had a good time catching up on our lives.

Bryce, Elliott, Tyler, JR, and Cole (a neighbor kid) - what a cool bunch of boys!

Derek spent a lot of time doing this - yes, he's licking the ground - it's gross, but he kept doing it. At least no one wears shoes on that ground.
